How to Prepare the Perfect Filet Mignon


  • (2) 8 oz Prime "Happy To Meat You" Filet Mignon
  •  1/2 stick + 1 Tablespoon of Butter
  • (1) Tablespoon of Canola Oil
  • (1) Tablespoon of Kosher Salt
  • (1) Tablespoon of Black Pepper
  • (1) Clove Crushed Garlic
  • (1) Sprig Rosemary (Optional)


  1. Season steaks generously with Salt and Pepper Mixture and let rest for half hour
  2. Preheat your oven to 375 Degrees
  3. Add Oil and (1) Tablespoon of butter to a large cast iron skillet over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the meat and sear all sides and edges until browned (about 15-30 seconds per side) to seal in the flavor.
  4. Place steaks in the oven for 8-10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 135 degrees. Remove from oven, add remaining butter, garlic clove  and baste steaks with melted butter for about 2 minutes.
  5. Let rest for 4 minutes, allowing the meat to reach a perfect medium rare.
